Incredible board, folks. I've been following your exploits from afar, and am finally able to make the trek down this Saturday for some drag slippage of my own. I'm looking to put in at Lynnhaven in Dawn's Calm, but didn't know where I could purchase any eel... I remember a post like this from last year, but couldn't find it. Any suggestions?

Long Bay Pointe Bait and Tackle should be the only place!

I sometimes stop at Ocean's East on the way in from 64- take 13N from 64 and get in the right lane. It isn't far and easy to get in and out of with a trailer. I am not sure about eels but they have such a great stock of bait and tackle it might be worth a stop.

Connie and Steve at Long Bay have them right there in the live well. You can pull up in the boat and hit it and quit it. Good Luck!!

Don't mean to sound dumb ..... but where is Steve getting his eels from. I use to catch them in the creek behind my house in Southern Shores NC. But 10,000!!?? WOW! I know they make eel pots....

The Asian Market on the corner of Great Neck and Virginia Beach Blvd has their entire fish tanks fixed, was in their last week buying some shrimp and they had about 40+ eels in the bottom right tank in very healthy condition and size was between 18-24 inches, a few were larger but the majority was perfect bait size. Hope this helps, I am pretty sure the price is reasonable too. Good Luck, Bill

I like the smaller 8" to 10" Eels you dont need a Python to catch a Large Striper.
