I heard some people talking about fishing around The golfball for stripers today. Where exactly is that? I looked on a couple charts I have here and don't see it anywhere. I am just a bit curious.

It's off Sandbridge near False Cape. There is a house that looks like a golf ball. It is before the Little Island Fishing Pier.

Gotcha, thanks. I plan to head south tomorrow so I will keep an eye out for it.

Don't think you will find that on the charts - kind of a local thing.

When you pull out of Rudee Inlet and you are running south - look onshore and you will see a water tower. It looks like a tee with a golf ball on top. Believe it is blue in color. That is the golf ball.

heard mixed reports today -- most of which I did not believe. I do not think they did any better there than up north.

Best bet today, from what I could hear was off Rudee and at the Cape Henry late.

Of course tomorrow is a whole new day. Find the bait and you will find the fish.

Is this the Golf ball?

You cannot miss it. It is the only structure that actually looks like a golf ball.

That is not the Golf ball...that is a new Structure they put up south of Croatan, The Golfball is south of there by about 4 miles or so, you really can't miss it. It right by the condo's at Sandbridge...North of the Pier but south of Dam Neck naval Base.....it's just a water tower....Bob

It is the Water Tower off Sandbridge Its Blue/Green in color.

Here's a pic of Tom and Red on Volunteer dragging the shallows yesterday. That's the golf ball behind his foredeck. Like Keith mentioned, it's the water tower located right where Sandbridge Road runs into Sandbridge Beach. The Condo buildings are shown off his stern.

You believe what you want ....but you will be several miles off the bite everytime if you go to damneck when someone says the bite is at the golfball.

what color is it - does it look like the green can

For the 30+ years I've been fishing off of VB the Golf Ball has been the water tank previously mentioned. I think some folks are confused or are trying to mislead others. And Owen, exactly what color is the Green Can?

Keith is right. Plus if you are reyling on the radio to find fish you are not going to find thenm anyway,
