Heard about the clover leaf pattern this evening and found that it worked better than the bow-ties I made in the fog. Ended up with our limit but never had more than one on at a time. I am shocked that with all the boats at Cape Henry that most of the fish were not foul hooked.

We set the auotpilot for cloverleaf at the Green Can and hopped in behind Capt. Cloverleaf and caught a keeper on the backside of the second leaf everytime. It was an incoming tide so our baits were dropping when we made the turn on the leaf. Capt Cloverleaf said the bite was gonna happen at 4:25 and we got our first knockdown at 4:29. Thanks for the info!!!!

I can not speak for him but I have been lucky with the four leaf. Glad we can all get along. That was some boat show on Saturday. Better than going to Miami

Sounds like an interesting tactic that could work (unless you're in a fleet of boats). I would think the key is you start the pattern after marking some fish and you are essentially circling back to the fish marks but various directions to entice the fish to bite.

I got my new motor and im finally back on the water...The 4 leaver usually has the most luck but ive caught plenty of fish down in Hatteras on the 3 leaver
