I had a buddy come in from Harrisonburg this morning so my wife and I brought him down to the bay today to see what we could hook up

We left out of Lynnhaven about noon and fished until about five. OMG what a CF at Crab Creek. We started off trolling at the second island, between the bridges and worked our way over to the third, around the island and over the tube to the fourth. We were using stretch 25's, 15's and an umbrella rig and caught fish all afternoon long including some double and triple hookups. Nothing big but lots of fish from 20" up to about 27" long. My buddy had an absolute blast and we sent him home with a nice big bag of fillets! I knew it was going to be a crazy today but I was in a great mood and just had to laugh at the idiots. The third island over to the fourth was especially ummm.... "entertaining" so we bolted for safer waters! It sounded like Cape Henry was a parking lot so we decided not to head over that way.
All in all a great day. Maybe next trip we will hookup some biguns!

Cape Henry was indeed a parking lot, but, the fish were there! Unfortuneately, several temperatures flared up as there were many out there that just did not know how to handle their boats in heavy trolling traffic. If people would stop trolling across the traffic flow, and, would pull their lines in order to make a quick, safe turnaround to troll in the opposite direction things would go a whole lot better for everyone. It only takes a few moments to pull and reset the lines. Of course, the charter boats would never consider this as an alternative, but, most do try to make their turns so as not to interfere with others--as I said "most".
