Mega Bite
Ran the Mega Bite to the Lattimar Shoals area .Jason showed me the Jigging for Trout technique which works really well.We got our limit of small but legal greys. Then we set up for Red Drum off the Ocean Side of the Eastern Shore. We boated and Released 10 Bull Reds rainging from 43 to 48 inches 6 Citation Releases in all. Jason had 3 and I finally got my 3rd at about 630 Pm.A new Mega Bite record 6 Citations in one day!!!!All the Drum survived and swam off with 0 Kills for the day.We broke off one each and missed hooking a couple also.Jason took some great photos and said he will post them tomorrow.
Cache-N-Release
Nice work. Sounds like a great day. We have never had any luck with Drum...maybe this year.

What were yall catching the reds on? I started out on the bay side of the shoal and didnt make it out the the ocean side till a little later (around 9) and we only caught sharks and skates. We were fishing peelers and clams so I was surprised we didnt get it going. I couldnt get any menhaden. I think we just got over there a little late for the bite.
Mega Bite
Cut Blue Fish was the daily special .False Albecore belly was on the menu also.Peeler Crab seemed to get the Skates and Rays.Clams are for their cousins the Black Drum.We had some Clam with us but never cracked the first one.

Mega Bite, I was in the little Scout CC besdie you all. We stayed there until 10:00 p.m. We ended up with 29 drum, 17 being paper. It was the most unbelievable day that I have ever had. I am not even fishing today because I am so sore. I am still waiting to wake up from this dream.

Great job guys sounds like the day i had not to long ago with Black drum....

Congrats on the six paper fish, hopefully you will leave a few fish for me to catch when I get back to the states. All I have to report from Russia is one small pike about 15" that we caught today on some lake. Maybe I'll have better luck in Germany.

Those bull reds are beautiful!!! Congrats on all the paper too. Sounds like a blast.

Hey Jason,

Was that boat an old Cris-Craft will dual suzuki's 26 ft', with some Asian guys on board--if so I know exactly who that might be--
Mega Bite
No he was an American IDIOT!!!,He trolled up my chum slick came within 70 feet of my boat then did a few figure eights behind the boat and trolled off to the north.I figured he knew better since it said RED DRUM on the side of his boat in letters about 5 feet long.I was ready to swashbuckel, skallywag and Keelhull him at the same time.

Saw you guys out there last night. I was a trooper and stayed out til after midnight when the tide turned. The hookups and hookups continued until about then. Ended up with one paper. Great job guys! And wasnt that water and sunset a thing of beauty!?
CAT ATTACK
we were there but didnt do quite as well. We were a ;ittle late setting up, fished the south side. Managed two reds just short of papers and a loner black. Sounds like the bite was on the north side. Congrats on the papers! This has been my first year drum fishing so i learn alot every trip!

How deep were you sitting in off the Eastern Shore seaside for those beast red drum? For how much longer will the drum bite remain good? Thanks
Mega Bite
we anchored up on a ledge that went from 20 feet to about 8 feet. The Reds are still around but I dont think they are in huge schools right now.
gary
Do they school up after they get here or, do they come in the bay schooled up. also how long do the drum stick around. Im still trippin on that kite rig for the cobia being that I fell for the sport because I 2 poled off the peir nothing like watching the bait freak out before I gets smashed by a cobia.
