What's the probability of a young man getting Mate jobs on holidays , saturday and sundays on private and charters-Has two years experience in the gulf stream(Hatteras). Loves to work but can't give up reg job. Don't Captains need fill-ins sometimes?
I'd hit the docks and talk to the captains. They'd be more opt to taking you on meeting you in person then via other means. Could be worth the effort. Good Luck!!

Eric, that's just wrong dude! LOL! Sounds like the employment possiblilties just brightened. a bit with Mike's response. Keep in mind there are captains who charter part time, just like you do. There are opportunities out there. Good luck!

Sorry I have been waiting to use that one.

The first thing you need to do to become a legit Mate is get your drug card most reputable Captains wont use you without one. It is the law they check and bust for that one also.
