Friends of ours have been killing the Blackfin the past few days jigging out of OI. I've kept tight lipped till this blow has forced them off. As much as I hate to do it I gotta pull the plug and get some spoons and rods for it after the trolling bite wears off mid day.

They put me on their rod choice but say the spoon choice doesn't matter. What does anyone else think before I blow some more $ on this never ending hobby?

Hey .
How far out are they catching the tuna?
My son is busting my chops to go.
He says that he heard you could catch up to just a mile or 2 off the beach.
Thanks ,mark

Saltoholic , Sorry but I haven't visited this thread in a while. 280 rock and the other couple of spots well known. It isn't much of a secret anymore. Keep a small boat at home as it's not worth your life. Hitch a ride on a rig for expense sharing after buying your own rods and hold on.
