We were supposed to be going on Saturday but it was so cold, I was worried about the boat being iced up by the time we got offshore so we went Sunday instead. It was a lot warmer but also a lot more rough. I did not fish or get to take photographs. I just held onto the wheel and tried to keep the boat on top of the wreck. We caught fish but we earned every one of them. We ended up with a nice catch of sea bass with 7 of them weighing over the 5 pound citation minimum. We also caught some bluefish with one long enough for Bob Manus to earn a release citation with. The other bluefish were small and we did not catch too many this trip. We did catch some spiny dogfish and some very impressive congor eels. The plan was to fish a couple of wrecks and then head offshore for some tilefish but with the seas, we decided going further out was not a good idea so we just hit a couple more wrecks on our way back home. There were sea bass on each wreck we tried and we caught some nice fish from each but none of the wrecks were really loaded up. We did catch a couple of nice flounder in the 22-23 inch range. If it had been calm, we would have spent some time trying for them.
