Arrived at Bell Isle Marina at 6:30. By the time we thawed out the bilge pump and made sure it worked
we got under way 8:30. The fog was so thick it was really slow going at 8 kts till we got closer to the CBBT when it started getting clearer. Arrived off of Smith Island around 10:15 and started trolling with no marks. We did not stay there long and picked up and headed to Cape Henry. Birds were starting to
work up about half way there but I wanted to fish a certain spot so we kept going. We picked up 5 nice
Stripers fishing the channel edge in 40 to 50 ft We were the only boat in this area. We needed 3 more to make our limited. At 2:30 we went 4 miles north were the Birds and Boats were and in 10 min we caught 5 more. Got them in the boat kept the smallest due to gill damage and let 2 more go to grow some more.
Headed back to Bell Isle at 3:30 with a Happy Crew. Biggest was 42 lbs. Caught on a 3 way along
with another one around 28lbs. White Bucktails.
