Two friends of mine went out yesterday and today around Cape Henry area and did not catch anything either day. It dont look good right now.

I was out for about an hour this morning (8 - 9 a.m.) and it didn't look like it was going to turn on so I headed in. I was between the green can and Cape Henry. The water temp. was 38-39 degrees, no birds working and there were little if any marks. I wonder if the season is over??

I am by no means a professional but I think that south is the key for striper fishing this time of year. Water temp is so low you don't really have much of a chance around here I think.
Fish Dad
I fished from 1 - 4 pm today from CH to Dam Neck....nada. Some boats ran to Corolla...nada. Only boats that did well were the poachers who ran east.

I tried friday around cape henry. Nothing! not even a bump! Very few marks of any kind. I think that this weeks coming steady NE weather might herd a few back within our reach. I HOPE so anyway! Good luck to all that are trying!

Fished friday 12-4 from Rudee to the Cape. Had few scattered marks, nothing to circle and work hard. Water temp was 38.7-39.8 degrees. Had something come tight at the Cape on a Mojo / Spoon combo but I'm betting it was the bottom. Didn't see any fish caught or any reports of any caught at Owls Creek ramp.

you didn't have to poach to catch fish yesterday. but, you did have to run 35 miles north or 35 miles south. they'll be back. the bite was early to the south. the guys that went north made quick work.

That's a pretty good run, 35 miles north and 35 miles south...that is if you made that run both ways personally. Now surely you do know the poachers can't help but to brag but they simply won't tell you the truth about where they were.
Getaway
Slorry, but, running 35 miles either north or south would not have done it yesterday. The only quality fish caught yesterday were almost at the Maryland state line which is more than 70 miles north.
