you can fish the discharge in a boat but not from shore and you can`t get up in the pond anymore just outside the rocks.
catfishing up there sun was realy realy slowand we used everything for bait

Years ago we fished it and did pretty good,mostly used doc's blood dip bait.It was a very messy affair.Caught fish though. There are NO stupid questions,but there are stupid people!!

Which you have proved in your first 4 post so do not quote me when you make statements like that

I work at Surry and you can only fish from land (actual canal) if you are an employee. If you know an employee there you can go as a guest. My son (1st Mate) and I fished there in Nov/Dec and had a blast with the striper, puppy drum. Catfish are everywhere. There were boats fishing by the rocks in December and a fellow employee was at Greentops when I guy showed up with trout to get them weighed. 2 fish were over 7 pounds. I have not fished there with my boat yet. There are markers to let you know where you cant go.

The catfish were hideing on Sun but the drum were still there but hard to get a keeper

no problem good luck if you go up there we were finding fish further out in the discharge
