OK real quick Fellas.. I will post more details later.. Team No Show Flying Scud went out of Hatteras today...Underway before sunrise.. Sitting on the Rock Pile 35 mts later.. Water looked great, was real clear and slick, not much current, a bit cold.. But it was Slow.. It was our first real attempt at jigging. Not even a AJ... I managed 1 bonita before Guys were complaining it was too much work.. So we decided to hit the troll. Threw the spread out and started cruising, just enjoying a beautiful day on the water, and looking forward to spending the whole day out there... When FREAKINGNUTSAMANIA ended all that real quick and we got to call it a day early. Caught her on a little more than 1/2 spooled 30, on the smallest Ballyhoo we had looking for blackfins.. We caught one right before this baby exploded the spread.. Really wished we could of jigged more, but we really wanted to get this baby on ice... Im not complaining.. We got to use the tuna door...

Thanks guys. And thanks for posting that pic again for me Salty..Not sure what happened.. Yea she was an easy 200# - Color was pink and blue seawitch.. Smallest hoo we had... 68degree water... About a 3/4 spooled TLD 30, 30# test, 100# flouro leader. Thought it was over before it even started. It all happened so fast we did not even have a chance. I was helplessly watching line melt off and I was ready for that baby to just hit the end and pop. Near the end i started clamping down on the sides of the spool to try to slow it and just worked on putting as much pressure as possible into turning her with the rod, and then somehow, the fish gods were shining on us, at the last wraps she just stopped. I didnt even pull back, just keep it tight and waited, cause I did not want to aggrevate her into another run cause then it would of been over. She was a few kicks away from fighting another day. Gradually I got back some line, in low speed and we were in business. We got pretty lucky. Just been putting our time in whenever we get the chance. Man that was fun. cant wait to do it again!!
