I had more excitement than I could stand today. First, I left my beloved wife at home while I went off fishing. I get a phone call 3 hours later informing me that she is at the dock and is VERY upset that I went without her. OOPS. I thought she had canceled out on me last night. Had to cut my fishing short and give her a pleasure cruise to Crystal Lake.

Then I had 2 boats run over my anchor. First one was forgiveable - the wind and tide were doing strange things while he was trying to anchor up. I ended up losing my anchorage and had to reset. He felt bad and was extremely apologetic. No big deal - he was a nice guy and we had some good conversation.

Second one got his lower unit hung up on my rode and banged up my boat a little tring to get him clear. No damage, thankfully.

Started out with very nice spot for bait 2-5". There were about a dozen menhaden scattered in the mix. I also saw a school of menhaden in Crab Creek but couldn't throw the net on them as I was by myself and too much boat traffic.

Anchored in my favorite flounder hole in the general vicinity of Lynnhaven Inlet tongue.gif on an incoming tide.

Would have gotten my limit of flounder had it not been for the phone call. About 30 landed, 5 in the cooler. 2 @ 17", 3 @ 20-21."
