Well i have one more trip in me planned until aug due to haze gray an dunderway for 30 days but hey i signed up so i live with it.... anyways i am woundering if it is worth hitting the CLT for spade this week i know they are slow but was not sure how slow if anyone can fill me in so i don't waste my time i would love it... if not i know i can always hit the recks off the light tower but i am not good at anchoring over them to well yet so i am not trying to waste any time with making a run and no fish bite..... thaks for the time again
if not i will hit up some togs and croaker or what ever is biting over the tube..

Well, I know what you mean. But its not so much time. I really enjoy just being on the water. The time I get is so limited. It's the $%#$%^ gas. Most boats get 1 to 2 miles to the gallon. A run to the CLT is about 20 miles from Lynnhaven one way. So at $2.30 +/- a gallon, Its almost $100 bucks. That really hurts with no fish.
I thought it was just me, but I talked to a friend that said he had "fish replant" on a few weekends ago. But the most upsetting part was, and I quote "I spent $200 in gas" fishing Sat and Sun.

Its Late. I'm still at work taking a break. I meant to say Fish Repellant.
I wouldn't have to work so hard if I was smart.

I read somewhere that the spade were there, but only divers were getting them. That was in a post last week, with all this heat Im sure conditions are changing.
I just did some more unschedualed maintenance to my boat (replaced shift cable) now Im really hungry for some fishing.
Looking to hear if anyone is hitting spade.

cole4 you can head out there with a 25FT boat i do just fine in a 22FT boat but you will see smaller boats out there as well....just watch the weather and the sea conditions
You can catch spade, AJ, Black sea bass on the bottom and right there by the wrecks off the tower area.... i am sure there are alot more but that is about iall i go out there for..
thanks for the help all who posted
