launched the skiff in owl creek early this morning. started out slow and moved around alot but soon hooked a small rockfish and a 17 inch puppy drum. a couple casts later i landed a 30 incher(ill post a pic once i figure out how). put up one hell of a fight on light tackle. ending up catching a couple more puppys and a decent sized bluefish. all in all a great day. i think we'll surf tomorrow.

green/gold shad grubs with a red lead head seemed to be doing the trick. workin it pretty slow and deep along the edges near the point. didnt have much luck with the trusty mirrolures. they also showed some interest in the cut mullet with a 3ft leader and bobber. best bet is to try everything until you find what they are feeling that day.
