East NEast of the DSL Tower, Start in 325 feet of water drift as deep as 450 feet of water! My favorite tile bait is squid as it tends not to catch as many sharks as albacore. I prefer albacore for Grouper.Have a dead stick bait out 150 feet from the boat during drift with a whole squid on a circle hook and if you can manage it put another dead stick bait out with a ballyhoo on a wire trace. These two top lines account for alot of my Mahi/wahoo/tuna catches while deep dropping. Maximize your time on the water if the baits not in the water it isnt catchin fish. Good luck. CONCH

PS Pay attention to the NC state REGS effective April 1 2009 on tile they are included in the 5 fish per person agregate if you have grouper on board.

Great tip on the deadstick baits Conch. Drift one or two off the long riggers to keep them out of the way of the deep droppers. We used to do that back in the chunking days out of OI. Great tip.
