Fished last night (friday) 6-17 outgoing tide and didnt have any takers. Didnt here of a fish caught by anyone and there were some good drum anglers out. No good reports from fishermans/smiths islands either. used live crabs for bait so only one critter all night (like that). peace ph34r.gif

I went out yesterday. If not for the fact that was on my boat and fishing on a nice day, I would have had a crappy day! Went all over the place from the first island to the IMG. NADA. In the afternoon, I saw several schools of bluefish tearing up menhaden, but nothing worth keeping. Oh well next time! sad.gif

I was out there with you. caught some sharks, no skates (thank god) and actually picked up 2 sea mullet on a smaller rig. I didnt see anything but that big school of bluefish the tore by about 7ish with all the birds. Nice night to be out there though. Might try it again sunday and see what I can tug on.

we fished last night (6.18) on 9FS from 8 - 1215. broke off a huge shark almost immediately. as the sun was setting lost what seemed to be a big cobe that came up to wink at us twice before he left the dinner table (hook pulled). the tide finally started to turn out at 10 ish and then we caught shark after shark after shark they were all 4 footers or so. saw some sea turtles too b4 dark. heard of 1 25 in black caught. there was hardly any boats. beautiful night on the water - did 40 mph all the way to lynnhaven. bait was peeler and blue. maybe next time....

Hey Gus,
I was one of the few out there with you last night...What a nice night. Fished from 9-1230 on the midldle grounds. I think I made it back in record time as well, it was like a lake. I had a few suspect runs but never hooked them. Caught plenty of those pesky sharks though. Heard the black drum caught at IMG too. Looks like next decent day to go out wont be until monday night or tuesday. I will be there!
Keep on fishing!

I was out there too with pretty much the same report. Used pealers and cut croker for bait. Was harldly even picking up any trash on the cut bait. Very few boats out. Fished ocean side of 9ft shoal in 14ft of water all alone. Also fished Latimer Shoal for 3 hours and IMG for 4 hours trying for a cobia with live and cut croker and crab with about the same luck. Kinda disappointing but better than a couple weeks ago when every boat around me was having multiple hookups and I still couldn't boat a drum. I did have Bad Luck Bandit (BLB) on board which may have been the problem.....
