I will be staying in Corolla for the entire last week of May leading up to my wedding on Saturday. Im planning on having my boat down there
and heading out of OI a few mornings if the weather is right. Anyone else going to be down there? Buddy boat? Ive never put in at OI but
I will probably just follow the fleet out in the morning.
Anyone have any suggestions for my "tactics" the last week of May? Im going to have a bunch of first timers on the boat and I want to put them
on some fish.

Was there 6TH of June 08', fishing was off the charts! Had a bull dolphin at the boat pop 50# leader. Fish was at most 6'-8' from rod when it finaly hit my bucktail tipped with squid. This was at the fish haven NE of inlet insight of land water temp was 83 and clear blue. Spanish and blues are showing up now. Pick up some blues for live bait to get some pullage from the AJ's at the tower. Hopefully you can pick-up a buddy boat and head for the point if the seas and wind are right. Congrats and good luck!

That last weeek in May is the Pirate's Cove Tuna Tourny so you might not get a bunch of reports. There will be a few boats down from the area fishing the tournament. Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

Thanks guys. Yes, they will all be newbies, but I have learned a lot over the past couple of years...its just a pain in the a$$ when nobody knows what to do. I have one of Dons mini tiki bars b/w (caught the the first fish on my boat 2 years ago..a sailfish by Keith) that will be out along with various islanders and witches. I dont have outriggers on my boat so its hard to run more than 6 lines anyway.. anyone have outriggers for sale? I have a little over a week. I plan on following the fleet out in the morning.
How are you guys rigging your naked ballyhoos? Also, whats the average travel time to the point?

Anyone else going down? Im going to be trying to get out monday, if the weather holds up. Anyone have suggestions on where to start off? Should i just follow the fleet?
Does anyone know the size/amount limit for blackfins? Is there a simple way of telling them apart?
Thanks
