Got out to the fingers about 8:30 set out 2 dolphin rigs started hooking up ballyhoo
then it started, giant bluefish, well biggest Iv ever seen (18- 24lb) big school. Caught at least 80+ fish, went threw 3 bags of ballyhoos and lost a dozen tuna lures. Man it was a great day. Around 1 we started trolling 90 deg. east of the fingers not 20 mins. Later fish finder goes crazy boils every where; got a casting rod up front with a big diamond spoon, waste of time. Look in the water, big school of big tuna, lots and lots of tuna thought they were bluefish. Well we were wrong, it was awesome they were all around the boat at least 60+ lb fish then one hit buddy’s rod, didn’t have drag set right…… pow!! Well that’s that so if you go to the fingers be ready because there is definitely fish there and every fish was taken on purples blacks a pinks skirts.
