Went out Hatteras Inlet Sunday morning, with hopes of wrestling a monster cobia. Instead we got a close up shot of a small cobia, and a 2 1/2 foot shark. We did have a taker right off the bat on a live eel, but after peeling off a few yards of line, the leader and the hook separated. Not sure how that happened.
The water was really clear though. Didn't here any better reports from the ramp; most people were trying to fish the inlet, but it was too rough later that morning.
