I can't imagine dolphin fishing any better than it was today. Had a great group of Navy Rescue Swimmers from Norfolk today (I think HSC 22). These guys worked their butts off. It took them a little while to understand the program, but by the end of the day they were spot on. It was a true pleasure fishing with them.

With the forecast they were calling for, SE 5-10, we went to town on the bait box Sunday night. 80 beautiful baits ready for action. The ride out was a little sporty with overcast skys and showers, but we took our time. We shut down in 90' of water on the 125 line and instantly hads a wahoo bite off and a false albacore. We worked the break back and forth from 90' to a 190'. Blue/ green to pretty blue 73.5 to 75. 2 water with scattered grass. Lots and lots flying fish.

We ended the day in 180' of water (77.4 degrees) on the 240 line. Beautiful weed line with hundreds and hundreds of gaffers firing in from everywhere. "WE EMPTIED THE BAIT BOX". First time ever with that many baits. 37 dolphin filled the 2 fish boxes and we released another 12.

Total weight 440 pounds, qwhat a day!

Awesome! Now there's a day where the value of the catch actually exceeds the daily expenses to get out there and get 'em. What a rare day indeed! Great catch!

Thanks guys, I just got back home to Ocean City for a couple of days off. What an incredible weekend. Hopefully everyone got to enjoy some of the awesome fishing.
