Quick Report
First off, most of my crew backed out at the last second. I talked with the one other guy and he was still game, so we went. We ran from OI to the 650 line, run through a pretty heavy shower, poped out into some rather sporty seas and found a nice weed line. At that time we were the only boat there. For the first 45 minutes we had multiple hookups. Unfortunatly, it was so rough Sam had to stay on the wheel. I do not know how many fish we lost. We even dipped a rigger in a wave and got the line wrapped around the halyard eye. A Mahi hit that bait but luckily the line broke before the rigger did. It was absolute maddness for about an hour. Our finally tally was 8 gaffers in the box. We didn't whack 'em and stack 'em, but I feel good with what we got. We called it a day at 12:00 and headed to the barn. Fish were still being caught, but I knew I had to work today. All in all it was a great trip.
We started at the 650 and worked towards the point on the same line for 10 or 12 miles. Water temp was 74.
