Left Rudee at 7 Am this morning to troll for spanish at the oceanfront. I had my 30 year old son, 10 year old grandson and a couple of friends. It was a little rough early and the spanish were not cooperating. Grandson got sick and i had to take him back to the hill. Went back out and my son got sick. Took him back to the hill. Went back again, gave up on the spanish and went to first island. Caught a ton of skates and croker, but no flounder. Wind dies down and had a easy run back to Rudee. Still better than doing yard work!!

At least you got out on the bay today and did not get skunked. I took a buddy out and it was a rather sporty ride to the 3rd island (left Messick at 0600). He fished H & L and got skunked. I got skunked on H&L as well but I jumped in with the Speargun and busted two 7LB spades and a smaller sheepshead. This is some crazy weather we are having this year and the fish seam scarce because of it. The few fish (other than Tog) that I have seen are real skitish as well.
A safe day fishing is better than work any day.
