Did a half day up to the Bluefish Rock area. Stayed away from the fleet. Live croaker just above the bottom and eels near the surface. 8/0 circle hooks. Had two take downs. Lost one small cobia (saw her when she jumped) and brought the other aboard. Nice fight lasting a little over a half hour. Almost tangled the anchor line on one of her runs. Two jumps to let us get a good look at her. She weighed in at 46 pounds. Have some half day slots open for cobia trips.

Thanks for the report. I'll be in that area on Saturday. Did they eat the eels or croakers?

Yes. The big girl hit a croaker just off the bottom.
