Caught a bunch of croaker and mullet in the cast net this morning. Live bait produced a few puppy drum, a speckled trout, and a few blues around the elizabeth. When I went back for more bait I caught about 100 menhaden in one toss of the net, so a buddy and I started chunking for stripers. No luck at the HRBT but a croaker and oyster toad. Heard of people catching them over the tube at MMBT. Fished some rocks around the river and continued chumming and chunking on circle hooks, ended up with one 22' rockfish. When I got home and cleaned the fish I noticed sores and some flesh was yellow upon cutting the striper open, but the drum was delicious.
