Has anyone ever had any experiencing catching mullet, spot, croaker, etc. in a cast net around the Cape Charles or Bayford area? Is it too early for mullet?

I appreciate any help that can be given. We only make the 5 hour trip a couple times a year and it's kinda hard to find the bait when it changes every time we go.

Caught tons of croaker mullet and menhaden in the elizabeth river yesterday. Cant immagine theyre not around the eastern shore. Throw your castnet close to the grass on higher tides.
