Went sunday to the 4th island. Super crappy fishing conditions. When you could maintain the bottom, the bites were there. we ended up with 12 caught, only three keepers. 19 1/4, 19 1/2 and 19 3/4. If the conditions had been better we might have been able to limit out. We used cut bluefish and large minnows. The fish were there and hungry! They just weren't willing to run a marathon to keep up with the bait! SKANSKA was dropping bolders around the oceanside number 48 pilings area. I think that might have gotten them moving. The best bites came from the area back towards the island about thirty yards out from the pilings on the oceanside. Oh well, Goodbye "Great Flounder Hole number 48"! They will settle back in somewhere nearby but, I don't think it will be at 48 anytime soon.

Thanks for the report dude. I was going to make the run today but the weather man said 50% chance of thunderstorms so I'll have to wait until Sunday. Thanks again.

Fished the HRBT today, Hampton side. Threw back at least a dozen and put a 20" in the cooler for dinner. Also caught some 2# croakers to go along with the flounder. Flounder were biting on every cast, you just have to put up with the small ones for now.

Or put on bigger bait.

Finally got a nice one (23") at the HRBT using a big chunk of Menhaden. Will post the fishing report (and pic) tonight.
