also a report from 6/22 cbbt- not a whole lot of reporting/catching but left wednesday afternoon with Joe (JoJo-2) to try a little black fishing around the islands- saw a few but no luck with em. we were sight casting- Joe was sight casting and i was running the boat. no takers though- there were world record class spades all around the island though so we opted to fish for them after no luck with the blacks. had a few ol nasty bearded clams with us but not many so we made the best of it. Ended up ketchin a couple of spades and some croakers large. had a good time, Joe taught me some good stuff. (thanx again JoJo!! ) Saw Reel World heading into the wrong inlet when we were heading out!!!(what was up with that TONY??? biggrin.gif

Then last night Mike and myself went on his Formula (Good Golly) to try and get maybe a cobia or Red one- thinking that since it was almost a full moon and rising tide the time was right. We didnt do much had quite a few runs, caught some critters and when the "twins" both started screaming in tandem we were thinking "allright, here we go!!". I wasnt holding my mouth right as I could feel my circle hooks pulling right out(you know the feeling- comes tight and twists and just doesnt catch, happened several times to me last night for some reason) but Mike did manage this one cobe 48". Sorry no impressive pix or writing like Tillis (want dem reds!!!) but hey- we were happy we didnt get the white stripe!!. BTW- we came in around midnight because the "current" was making many knots and we never did see the full moon until after we got home. Not sure what time the current quit running but it was late. - no red ones to report-peace- craig
