"No Regrets" is leaning strongly towards a Friday trip. Will be hauling down from Richmond if all pans out. Last year we came home on one engine on three consecutive trips(all different reasons) before we worked the bugs out.Sea trials in the bay have gone well this year. I know That Fountain of yours will enjoy having a Sister ship to run with. I'm hoping for Tuna, ready for anything. What time you guys planning on departing? Bob B

Yes - leaving Portsmouth Boating area at 3 am Friday. Long trek out but it's been a long time coming. Headed to the Norfolk canyon. It's my second time going out there. Can someone please explain to me what the "350 line" means? I was thinking it meant 350 fathoms is that correct? I keep seeing posts and I'm trying to piece together a destination out there. Thanx.

Its a Loran reading line. Old style GPS, navigation from what I know. A Capt Seagull chart will give you Loran Lines, sometimes GPS systems convert it for you from GPS to Loran and vice versa. Listen or look for 350 line at 100 fathoms, look on a chart / sonar GPS system and match them up to find out where they are biting.


Junior (not the boat, just the Capt) is heading out of OI Friday, hopefully to get into some action that we can reach.

Yes im heading out on Friday, trying to be at rudee around 3:30. Ive looked at the sst this morning and looks like the cooler water is north of Norfolk Canyon. I will probably start at the hook, unless of course i see life before then. I will be on 72 if you would like to buddy up. My bost name is Sea a Blessing. thanks john

I have out of town guest, so I was doing the Marine science museum, oceanfront tour. Stopped by the fishing center at 5pm and 2 boats came in, they each had 1 BFT.

Was told that they caught 25 or so BFT. So if anyone wants to make a short trip, looks like Hot dog area might be a good shot.
