I made the call to go where the Fleet wasn't yesterday, based on some intel I had and a Roffers report....Slow day for us....we managed 3 Gaffers to 15 pounds and got a Single YFT bite right at noon...fish went 51#'s, were hoping for a couple more that size or bigger which would have put us in the money, but it wasn't meant to be.....Great tournament as usual put on by Bob Sinclair...one of the best in the area....Had Don, Steady, Colt and Mark Carstens who all did a great job as usual....
Tuna was Caught on Get Reel Tiki Bar with G&H Sea Witch as a trailer bait....THe TIki Bar/Get Reel combo has been on fire this year....Bob

Good times Bob and fellas!! Wish we would have caught a ffew more tuna, but not to be. Doesn't sound like it was hot and heavy...those that found them got 'em. Looks like we're turning our attention to the pointy fish this weekend. We'll get 'em next year!
Good job guys. Way to hang in there to the end. We are going to give it our best on Saturday and see what happens.

Nice job guys. At least you gave it a tournament try and went away from the fleet - you can't win if you don't try. Any day with a 51 YFT is a good day. Still have some meat on the table - now time for your awesome billfish post.

yea...sometimes the other road pays big, sometimes it don't.....you make the call and stick with it...that's tournament fishing.....I love it!...Bob

Gonna try the other road tomorrow...maybe it will fair better for us.
Good effort out there guys. Nice YFT. Who needs that money from the tournament anyway?
