Took the Chuppacabra out for her Maiden offshore trip. Left Teach's at 6am and found stiff 5-6'ers with some impressive 9+ rollers, so it was a little tricky. Was able to roll at 27mph out to the weather buoy. We fished the area all day and had some success. We went 4 for 6 on gaffers with the biggest being 23lbs. Missed a wahoo bite and had a blast fishing in the mighty mako ! Ride back was awesome and had a great day.
A HUGE thanks to my friends for helping us out. Big time Thanks to Phil and Mike of G&H Lures for sending me a 7 rod spread of witches.Got thse super fast and they all looked great ! Those lures are the Bomb, and the Black and Purple and Pink and white were on fire all day ! Another big thanks to Don at get reel for the use of a mini bar. That thing looked great in the spread. And last but not least, My big buddy Todd Beck for staying up late and helping me Rig rigs and loan me some gear. Thanks a lot guys, you are all true friends.
All in all it was a blast and now i am officially ruined now that i can take my own boat to the Gulf stream !!!
The bite was good down there, there were four sails released that i know of and a few blue marlins also. Tuna bite was non existant.

Congrats Super J! It was good seeing you again, glad you found some fish. We caught 4 dolphin(2 gaffers), 2 blackfin tuna, and a bonita. We lost a nice wahoo at the boat that bit thru the leader. It's nice getting to the bluewater quickly out of Hatteras. It was a nice run there and back, but like you said it was some huge swells that morning once we got to the gulf stream, but settled down after lunch.
