I saw Dr. Julie Ball and Capt Skip in the Fisherman magazine this week holding some nice Golden Tile fish. I was wondering if anyone new where to catch these fish and what bait, and tackle you need to catch them. I have the regular deep dropping rigs and was wondering if that was suffiecient? The article also mentioned they were catching them in 800 feet of water with a soft or muddy bottom. Where offshore do you find these conditons?

North wall of the Norfolk Canyon, 150 - 200 fathoms....that's about as close as I can get you....just look for soft bottom....Hard bottom shows up as a deep red line, soft bottom is lighter red/blue.....Good luck, hard fish to find right there without specific numbers, which are guarded very closesly.....hope you find them...Bob
