I had the chance to fish this week and took advantage of it. Headed to the IMG to chum with live bait and had a good day yesterday. Call up Todd to fish today and we got eaten alive by bluefish and sharks, I guess that's fishing. But we did see a nice one and a rat that Tood hooked up on a bucktail. Fished croaker and eels on the bottom.
Here's the pics from the first day (tuesday) 4 bites 3 hooked 2 made it into the boat. I boxed the first one around 30 lbs thinking this might be it for the day....big mistake, third fish was a monster probably pushing 80lbs. I didn't have measuring tape on board but got an estimate from the transom of about 55-58" and it was FAT. In the water shot you can see a pup on her back.

Inner Middle Grounds, I was on the part they call the 9 foot shoal which is between High Rise and 4th Island. It was during the first half of the falling tide. Anchor up on a ledge and chum, put some live baits on the bottom. I fished this spot 4 times this year and only caught them once...be patient or go looking for them.
