Hey, HI was good we only caught sharks, we saw lots of fish...we would catch a mahi or small tuna and the sharks would eat them. Looks like I dont have a crew for Thurs...If you need a hand let me know Im available. The winds are looking good.

How much do you guys charge for 1 person for charter because i might be interested? Although i do admit the longest run we've ever made with our boat is to the south tower from hamton,VA which is 162 miles round trip.

anthony, I will give you a shout wednesday evening if we need a hand, we are heading out wed & thurs...gonna have to work all weekend so I can play mid week though!!!!

fish-n-daze, if you are interested in hooking up with folks to fish there are several things you can do. First, realize that charters are a business and one of the main supporters of this forum. Use them if you can. Second, join as a paid member- it is inexpensive and gives you access to the supporters forum which has relaxed posting regs about trip sharing- 'HO-ing', if you will. This means you could go in exchange for Helping Out with trip expenses. Even with that, look at the Coast Guard regs that are posted on this site. It is a touchy thing to do without crossing a legal line and a lot of folks don't want to take a risk, particuarly if they don't know you. If you do HO, about all the guidance you will get on the amount for the trip is a ballpark estimate for fuel, etc., and you can figure your part for the number of people going. If you want to be invited back, don't give someone $50 for a day fishing the Gulf Stream or canyon. As you undoubtably know from your trip from hampton to the south tower, it ain't cheap to play in the deep water. The 3rd thing I could tell you is to show up at VBSF functions if you haven't already. Come to the tourney events or Meet-n-Greets and get to know some of these folks. You will be more likely to catch a ride than working solely by web exposure. Also, if you are free during the week you will stand a better chance of getting on a trip. There are some great folks here but as in all things there are a lot of rules and things to consider. Good luck getting out there and hope to see you soon at one of the events!

I don't know- with the marlin bite a lot of folks are kinda preoccupied. I will be in town this weekend though. Maybe we could do an unofficial one at Murphy's. I hope to get back one more time for flounder at least and then of course rockfish season but I tend to stay on the shore side a lot. There's no such thing as a bad idea, though. Well, maybe bringing that 100lb eel on the boat at night.....

Thanks, I only assumed he was a charter because i used to live up in massachusetts for 7 years and no one did anything for anyone up there as far as fishing advice goes. I have tried to go to the meetings in the past but things came up with the personal bussiness and have been somewhat busy. Although the past few weeks have been the slowest because of those non stop cold fronts that keep rolling up here ( I do HVAC bussiness) so no ones had the need for air conditioning. As far as captains goes i do know a couple well known ones like "scooby doo" from the marina we keep our boat at.
