A Friend of mine from hatt. called me wed. so off to hatt we went today and man was it worth it the king mac bite is on we got out of the inlet around 7:00 slick calm and by 10:00 we had our limit 12 at times we had 4 on at the same time went thure 6 bags of hoo for the day now to get another good day and get my boat down their this was my frist time for fishing for just kings and it was a blast

We were using live rigs on hoos wire with 2 triable hooks trolling just as slow as u can go even in and out of gear when good marks were under bait can roll are do anything. we ran a 6 rod spread and lots of time you would be reeling one in and more would come by and come right out of the water lots of 2,3 and 4 at a time. as soon as the wind lets me I'm going back was fun fishing

Nice catch Buddy i am happy for you. I am itchin to go but way to busy. FYI you were at the smell wreck its 23 miles from the inlet but only about 16 miles off the beach. The kmacs will be there thru Dec but they really turn on in November. Next time throw a poppin plug out as far as you can with a fast retreive they sky like crazy on it. I typically use a angry eye popper from frenzy tackle on an OTI 8,6" poppin rod. Its a hoot. Congrats my friend. Conch
