Was looking to go out to the CBBT to get some stripers but mother nature had some other plans. Looking at the JRB and was wondering if anyone has fished it latley. Any info would be great thanks guys.

I have been out twice fishin the outgoin tide at the JRB and nothing! Saw a couple of people pick a fish up chunkin but they said they were having trouble finding fish also. TOO EARLY, This happens every year! I get so excited in Oct for the stripers and usually dont pick fish up until the 2nd or 3rd week in November so I didn't really stress it too much.... haha

Try farther up the river early in the season, I caught 3 keepers with my dad one afternoon 2 weeks ago in just a couple hours of casting to docks and weed beds up the warwick river, the biggest was only 21" but he still ate good.

We fished it and the MM hard on Friday and caught one keeper fish at 20 inches. It was beyond dead. We tried everything under the sun and were out long enough to fish both tides. I heard it's been slow, but it's early. Sounds like casting was more productive over the weekend up the Bay toward Wolf Trap.

As Younggun11 says, they are up river at this time. I haven't seen any reports or been up there myself this year, but sometimes the Ghost Fleet can be productive this time of year.
