Bird Man
Hi fellas, it has been a while since I last posted anything on this board. Last summer I moved from the mountains of Virginia to the shores of North Carolina. I currently live on Roanoke Island. I found gainful employment (high school science teacher) and saved up enough for a down payment on a boat. I purchased a 24 foot Carolina Skiff with a 130 HP E-Tec on the stern and an 80 lb. thrust Minn Kota electric on the bow. It is perfect for the sounds. The spring trout fishing was awesome. Limits of 18-22 inch fish with plenty of redfish and flounder mixed in the catch. Now I’m catching Stripers. They are starting to school up and I’m catching fish by throwing bucktails, storm lures, and small jigs tipped with “Gulp Alive” trailers. I’m using light tackle and catching fish up to 28 inches. I’ll keep you guys posted on the fishing. If you have plans on fishing the sounds down here, give me a call or pm me. I’ll give you the latest intel.

Keep a tight line,
Lenny (birdman)

Nice ride ..... nice fish. smile.gif Be on the look out for a local fella named Tom Dunston, lives on Dogwood Trail. Usually can be found hanging out at Pirates Cove with Frank Adams. Friend of mine, full of (local) knowledge. Tell him Tony said Hi.

Keep the report coming!
