Has anyone ever used Williamson's "Live Ballyhoo." They aren't really live, just rubber. I picked up a 4 pack in a store the other day. They look and feel pretty real and are very flexable. They also have a cool hook locking system for a belly hook or a circle hook on the head/bill. Wondering if anyone has ever used/caught anything on them?

I use them on a dredge teaser. Dont waste your $ pulling them as bait . There are many easy ways to rig the real stuff . Anyone here would be happy to show you how.

Thanks, I'm OK with rigging the real thing, I just though they might be good to have on board if I ran out.

If you put them behind and islander or something simliar as a backup , not a bad back up. Ive run out and rigged real squid on squid baits. That being said I aslo ran Bass Assassins ...not any different then the baits you are talking about. Go for and report back !
Good Luck

WE PULLED SOME LAST YEAR. WASTED MY MONEY ON THEM. THE FISH WOULD PICK THROUGH THE SPREAD AND HIT ONLY THE REAL THING. WE WERE PULLING 10 LINES 6 LIVE/ 4 REAL AND IT DID NOT MATTER WHERE WE PUT THE REAL ONES IN THE SPREAD. FLAT LINE, LONG RIGGER, SHORT CORNER, SHOT GUN. IF WAS A REAL HOO THEY WOULD FIND IT.

That sounds like a good side by side test. We were only pulling the fakes with some other lures.
