Last year, in December, my son and I did fine on stripers, on the Chesapeake Bay Tunnel Bridge, throwing the "big plastics". But, my question(s) are: 1) When does that type of daytime fishng generally start? and 2) Can the HRB and James River Bridge be just as good in daytime hours, or would you be better off fishing at night on those two???
Any help (opinion from you guys who have been here awhile, and know this stuff!) would be appreciated..........this darned wind right now really ticks me off!

This time of year I cast windcheaters at the rocks at the CBBT during the day, but there are other tactics that do well. Lots of guys out wirelining bucktails and storms yesterday. Still the best bite I think will be in the lights at night, or late night /earlymorning casting the rocks.
I did see guys trolling and out with MoJos dangling from reels yesterday, that tactic will work in the weeks to come when the bigger fish and bait move in and they are not tight to structure.
