I dont know what they have done with this site but I have had a time navigating through.... but anyway
left the doc around 6 sat. nite for the cbbt..... was slow untill around 11pm.... noticed the birds moved in and about midnite the birds were so thick after bait fish, then after a few min. it all started.... looked like it was rainning fish.... they were jumping all around and the bait fish were so thick the ancor line was vibrating in the water..... started off with storms alot of hits but wasnt landing so switch to wind cheaters and then it was on..... the three of us were pulling in the stipers side by side the min the wind cheater hit the water we were hooked up.... this went on for about 3 1/2 hours..... we stoped counting at about 40 plus fish but we could only keep 6( what a shame) lol..... have to say what alot of fun.... got back to the doc just before the front came in.....
one thing I would like to know is how to find out just what the tide was doing.... I know high tide was around 8pm and it was an out going tide but how close to low tide were we at midnight???

For accurate CBBT tide slack times, try this site:
http://tbone.biol.sc.edu/tide/tideshow.cgi...Current+%282%29The other tide sites seem to be off by as much as three hours for the CBBT.

chilln somewhere,
Where you fishing with John on the Nutn 2 lose? Same time same story I heard from John the other day. The schoolies have thickened up nicely around the small boat channel. We have been getting some biguns since the season opened but generally have had to work a bit harder to get them. Nothing over 40" yet but half a dozen or more over 36" to 38", some fat with shoulders and sea lice some long and skinny. Seems to be rite many slot fish availiable as well for C/R.

Little creek is the Ampbious Base but there is one other launch at Caps Marine that will put you into little creek. The small boat channel is in between the 1st island and the shore of Virginia Beach. Look for the lights and your there. Hope this helps.

When your coming down shore drive turn on Dunning Rd opposite of Capt Groovy's and go to the end of the street. Capps will be on the left, don't know how well the ramps are but the last time I used them they were OK.
If you fish the small boat channel make sure there is some current an outgoing as been better. Good Luck,
