I am interested in doing some wreck fishing out of Rudee. Would like to catch Amberjack, Grouper and possibly Red Snapper. I have located several internet sites with tons of GPS coordinates- can anyone give me some advice on how far out we need to plan on going and if possible, some good wreck sites to try?

Thanks!

AJ can be found at almost all of the offshore wrecks, starting at the Chesapeake Light. The South Tower is usually productive, but it's a long run. A personal favorite is the Triangle Wreck area...many wrecks to chose from, so if you don't find them right away, it's a short run to a different wreck. We'll be making our first run for AJ this season on Sat.

To get the Snapper and Grouper you will need to head out of a more southern inlet. Closer to the streams influence. From O.I south. I have seen huge schools of Aj's on most of our 20 mile plus wrecks, but they are not always there. smile.gif Keith
