Yea maybe, We fished 3 miles of the CB line Wednesday, didnt see any fish. We picked up a 7lb flounder at Cape Henry Wreck though.

Gave it a good effort yesterday at the IMG, bay side and ocean with nothin but a few skates and hounds to show. Prevented the skunk though and picked up some nice flatties and spades around the highrise.

The cobia are still there. They dont usually start leaving until end of August. I have heard of several reports that the cobias are up top and around the buoys which is typical for August. Usually they stop feeding off the bottom and start working up top then they move out. Sightcasting works the best and dropping live bait around the buoys will work well also. I will be out all day tomorrow sightcasting them. Good luck.

He didnt mean leaving he said moving out toward the Ocean.I have caught Cobia in October off Buoys .I think the last one I caught last year was 10 October.

We hung one in the 70lb class Saturday on a Bucktail gigging pilons. Had Her on for about 15 min. between the Two spans untill she decided she had played with Us long enough and went back into the pilons and cut us off . Fun while it lasted .

That stinks but it seems like you gotta lose one every once and a while. We went today and didnt hook any.We did see a nice one flash our baits though.

Hey how much longer will the cobia be around? I've yet to try my luck at one but I'm ready to go for it if their still around.

If over flounder fishing at Cape Henry Wreck, check out the CH Buoy. There were two there Thursday, but they didn't want small spots. A bigger spot worked later in the day off Rudee, resulting in 50 incher.(See "Pulling Triggers" thread for whole spell-binding story)And,gosh, reminded me of my misspent childhood when running down the beach. There were menhaden everywhere! No wonder cobias is on buoys and kings off Sandbridge! Baits a popping, folks! rolleyes.gif
