flat daze
:)Went out early Sunday morning with flounder on the brain. Slow tides and short fish for about 2 hrs. Finally since I was out @ the wreck I decided what the heck and trolled some daisey chanes a a clark spoon. As soon I I hit the ripp off CH fish on this went on for about 2 hrs. Climax was since I was solo every time I got one on I'd have to put the boat in nuetral. Once just as I was getting ready to put lines back out bait started exploding arround the boat. Casting right there I caught about 10 more on a light rod. only saw two other boats out and none stayed long. I kept 6 to eat. All the fish 18 to 22 inches. several times I had doubles on. cool.gif I answered several calls and gave honest reports but I guess no one believed them. Any how lots of fish no pressure = Great day.
shoal bandit
Fished Cape Henry early Sunday. Trolled 00 Clark spoons. One on a planer other w/ 2oz. inline sinker. Caught about 20 macks and lots of small bluefish. Had plenty so we ran to the third and drifted for flounder. Caught 11 fish with only 3 throw backs. Largest fish was 25 inches. Picked up around 3:30 and while running in came up on birds working over a school of blues. Stopped and threw stingsilvers. Could have caught 100 if I wanted to stay. I made a call on the radio when I was leaving to let everyone know if they were interested and didn't get any takers. All in all a good day.
