i am going to be down in VA beach at the parents house after i do a few days at my unit. i am thinking of going out for cobia, amberjack, kings, ect. (the larger bay / near-shore ocean species) i was wondering if you can provide some decent starting points for me. i have a 21' wellcraft and would take it out to the CLT if the seas arent too bad.
is chumming and chunking with live bait (menhaden) around the buoys in the bay the most effective / productive method for cobia?
is kite fishing/"floating" livebait effective for kings?
i was also thinking of going to CLT for spades and while i was there, dropping a small/medium spot for amberjack, any AJs at the tower yet?
