I am leaning towards getting a Polar 2310 Bay Series. I searched and know there are a couple of Polar owners out there. Anybody have a 2310 or has fished in one? Any opinions/experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I have some friends that have a Polar. I'm not sure of the model, but I think its around a 20' and is more of a bay boat, but they fish everywhere in that thing...even offshore on good days. I'll try to get more info for you.

I saw one at the Boat Show,It has lots of well thought out storage and compartments for Tackle. It looks like a well made boat. The hull was the problem for me its almost like a florida flats boat.If you plan to stay in calm water and pick your days go for it.If you plan to go into rough water I would think again.Just my 2 c.

The mod-v hull doesn't really bother me because I do go into skinny water occasionally, but I would like to know if it is a fairly dry ride. With that bow flair, it's GOT to be better than my skiff! The storage and livewell configurations really got my interest going in this boat.

My fishing is CBBT, and I do that with a 17' Carolina Skiff and I know that the 2310 would be far superior as far as handling the chop. Also, I will be able to get rid of my custom 55 gallon drum livewell!

I used to do offshore a very little bit in my Shamrock Mackinaw, but I will be selling that to get the Polar. I don't plan to venture offshore, so that is not a consideration.

Thanks for the input so far - any others?

I have a friend in nags head that has a 20 footer. He likes it a lot as he does a lot of trout and puppy fishing and can run it up in shallower water. he told me the boat is pretty dry in the sound (which is comprable to the bay most days) but he doesnt often take it out of the inlet. I would think it would be a great improvement over a carolina skiff.
