Just a quickie.....We trolled the 50 fathom line between Walley World and the Canyon. Total....4 Tuna...2 went 50 plus pounds...18 dolphin(couldn't keep them off our lines)......1 White Marlin break off and something else which we believe may have been a blue chasing one of the Chicken Dolphin we had hooked. The Grass was everywhere, but towards the end of the day was forming some Huge weed lines. All in all a really good day, pulled off probably 5 or 6 nice Yellowfin....Gotta go help wife bag up the fish.....Bob...Still Think'n...

PS, Don, the Catamaran rode awesome, it's a great ride that's for sure. Probably my next boat will be a CAT, after today's experience....Bob

Bob,

Pretty Work!!!, I had family in town so we did the inshore croaker thing, Don (Skinny's Kid) and I will be back at it as soon as possible.

Good to know about those Cats, with the price of gas and the ride they offer I think, I too will be looking at them pretty hard for my next ride.

Thanks for the report.

Mike,

It really was a smooth, DRY ride that' for sure....it does have a little bit more YAW side to side, but it definately takes the pouding the front of the boat normally takes. This boat was a 22 Foot PROSPORT. for a 22 footer it had decent fishing room, the Fish boxes were large and had easy access. We had all those fish in one of the two fish boxes with no problem. I think I'll look at a slightly larger CAT but I'm definately going to look harder at them after an actual ride in one..Bob

Great job Bob!! I had a feeling it would pick up right where it left off. Like Mike said, hopefully we'll be back out next weekend. I did get a line wet Sunday though...I foul hooked some 9 inch menhaden!!! What a fight!!! tongue.gif

Good luck if you make it out next weekend. Word I'm hearing is Fishing will be south, towards the CIGAR by next weekend. Don't know for sure. I changed my plan of running to the CIGAR when I went down to Rudee on Saturday and talked with the Charter boys when they came back in. They said the bite was on right by the Canyon in about 50Fathoms. They were right on. I'm probably off the water for a while. Gotta go to brother's wedding in Florida next weekend, then have some work that's gonna keep me busy for most of October. ...Bob

Have a safe trip to Florida!! May be you'll be able to sneak out a time or two in October. Thanks for the tip on heading south. The weather forecast and I use that term loosely, is calling for some SE swells building in, so we'll see what happens.

Thanks again and have a fun, safe trip!!! Find a cute bridesmaid that likes to fish for me!! biggrin.gif
