Hey Skinny...If my rookie crew hooked one of them we wouldn't get to catch anymore 'cause it would take the rest of the day to bring him in! We're going to cross our fingers and hope the seas allow us to go out this Sat. It's been 3 weeks since we got the skunk off the boat (using your 'GET REEL' flying fish for the dolphin...thanks) so you know we're itchin' to get out. Let me know if you free-up this weekend so Capt. can look at some of those lures and you can school me in the pit.

Mike,
I don't know where we would put one of those guys. Might have to stick him up in the V-berth and fill it with ice!!! blink.gif It would be fun though!!

Thanks for the "props". Tell Pete we'll get together, even if its during the week while he's over here on the "Lower Shore" biggrin.gif .

Catch 'em Up!

Hey guys ...are those Bluefin as good eating as Yellowfin?
skinnys-kid
Those tuna in the pics are Big Eye tuna and I'd venture to say they are gooooooood eatin' biggrin.gif
But as for bluefin, I like it just as much as Yellowfin. Some say there is a different taste, but its all good to me!!

Big eye taste just as good as yellowfin. Very closely related fish.

If you are into sushi, try the fatty tuna (TORO) it is the prime cut of the bluefin. The best in town is at Daruma on birdneck.

Yellowfin is red or pink. Toro looks like a beef filet. It is only seasonal and more pricey, but taste awesome.

PS stay away from the sea urchin, I would rather like clean my fish tank than swallow that again.
