Left Owls Creek and about 5 am following Chasin 25 out to the middle of 30 fathom lumps in the middle of the fingers. Water was a little rough in the am but ok in the afternoon. We headed a bit north to about 6 miles west from the tip of the canyon ...lines in the water 10 minutes and long line screams (bird and Green Machine) bring a nice yellowfin to the boat but due to a bit of confusion going on ....we lose it.
Back on troll and 30 minutes later .....short line (green/yellow seawitch) and port outrigger ( chartuse seawitch) snaps.... land a nice 20 lb yellow fin and small dolphin. Tuna really screams on my penn 6/0 reels.
Back on troll work the area really good with no takers.... work the canyon wall ..east to west and north to south.. but couldn't raise a bite.
Pulled lines and headed back to the grass lines in the fingers and bailed dolphins from 1:30 till 4:30. Lots of fun !!! Smooth ride back in. Good day and fun times .... thanks Chasin 25 for knocking down the waves on the way out.
