I have a 2000 Proline 24 walk (same as 25 walk now..... 25' 6") with a 5.7 merc with bravo II outdrive... w/ 22" SS 3 blade prop. On Wednesday we rode to the 30 fathom lumps and trolled to the canyon tip (9 miles)and out to the middle of the canyon (5 miles) then south along the 100 fathom line ( 7 miles). we ran out at 26 mph and back in at 34 mph. Total milage was 159 miles......Total fuel used was 86 gallons.
I was totally surprized that I got that good offuel milage .... but if your even the least bit worried take several jerri cans with you. If you have twin out board you will use alot more fuel more like 135 to 150 gallons.

Pony, I also have a Shamrock 246 and have been there many times. You have no fuel concerns. The most you should burn is 70-75 gallons for a LONG day giving you at least 30-40 gallon reserve.
Just make sure of the weather, I am sure you know what a beating you can take in a 3-5 ft chop.

Took my 20' Seahunt out to the fingers and trolled all day in the area. I happily only burned 29 gallons with my F150
Cruised out at about 22-23kts and return trip was 28-29kts. I estimate total milage was roughly 150-180miles.
Normally wouldnt go that far offshore, but the weather was beyond perfect and I had a very experienced crew and buddy boat.

Sarah Kay has the same boat, and he runs offshore, you might send him a b-mail.
