Hey all, Im wanting to take a few business clients out for a day of fishing, possibly out of OI or Virginia Beach. Would like to run offshore in search of Tuna. Can anyone recommend a great charter service to use?
I would prefer to limit the number of people going to just my party maybe 12 people or so.
thanks for any info.

Each charter boat is limited to 6, so you will need two ...... check with our sponsors ..... http://www.vbsf.net/directory.htm

Some Captains have their OUPV 100 Ton liscense and a Marine Radio Operators liscense. That is what is required for 12 or more passengers.

I know Dave Wright on High Hopes has his 100 ton license and will take 12. Country Girl out of Pirates Cove used to do the same. Haven't talked to them in a while though.

David's number is 430-1305. He's got a 58 foot Gary Davis Carolina boat. Pretty rig, and fast, twin 750 hp diesels. Country Girl can be found at fishpiratescove.com. Its a little older and slower, but so am I. What I like about their website is you plug in the dates you want to fish and it shows you what boats are available. Point and click and you're there. No more waiting for a callback to see if the boat you want is available. You could also call the Oregon Inlet fishing center. Good luck.

jst,

Lots of good advice here. I would highly recommend two seperate boats. I would recommend OI in November... lots of action. I'll be down there all month myself. Va Beach is great right now. Just need the weather.
